Workshops vs courses

A workshop is a rapid-fire implementation program for a very specific outcome.

Workshops are outcome-driven. Participants pay you not for information, which is what most courses are but to achieve a specific tangible outcome.

A course says “I’ll teach you how to write sales copy.”

A workshop, with a very specific outcome says, “Together we are going to finish your sales letter.”

One is about specific implementation to the buyer, meaning they’re not purchasing information, they are purchasing help to get the outcome that they desire.

A workshop is a rapid-fire implementation program.

For example: “I’m going to teach you how to do sales copy.” That’s a course.

A workshop is “This weekend, you and I are going to work together over Saturday and Sunday to create and finish your sales letter.”

That would be the difference between a course and a workshop.

A course is a series of videos where the learner will consume the information and then they implement on their own using the information.

A workshop is a practical session where you (the expert) work with and provide feedback to the buyer, the customer, or the learner so they leave that session with a tangible solution in hand.
